VAJIR PINNACLE CLIMBING

Vajir Pinnacle is located on the south side of the Mahuli Fort.

Mahuli Fort At 2815 ft., this is a popular trekking destination and a paradise for rock-climbers because of many nearby pinnacles with interesting names like Vazir, Vishnu, etc., given by the local trekking and climbing fraternity. This mountain complex is actually a group of two or more hills with common cols and pinnacles.

 

It is the highest point in the Thane district. The forest surrounding Mahuli has been declared as a sanctuary. Once Shahaji Raje, father of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, had this fortress under his belt. The fort has been declared a protected monument.

Trek Distance: 3-4KM (Roughly 4-5 hours to complete).

Day 1

07.00 am Bus  Departure from Sinhagad SL Campsite, Wadgaon, Waraje, 

08.00 am Pick up at Chandani Chowk and onwards Wakad

01.30 pm Lunch to be brought by participants and can be taken in vehicle en route

04.00 pm Reach base village wandre

05.00 pm start trek towards Vajir base

07.30 pm Reach at Vajir Base, Set base camp. Dinner from organizers

Day 2

05.00 am Day Starts 

06.30 am After breakfast, head for climbing and start the climbing

01.30 pm Summit of all members up to 01:00 pm and in between lunch.

3.30 pm Start for windup and return to the Base village Vandre

5.30 pm Reach to the Vandre village

9.30 pm Dinner on the way as per contribution or TTMM

11.00 pm Reach Pune
